Hey, all! 🙂
Sorry, I’ll probably be bugging you with email updates more often than you’d like. My friends here are all so jaded about living here that they can barely muster enough enthusiasm for the “bagong salta,” hahaha! Not that I’m not grateful, of course. I love that I’m the receipient of all their knowledge, but it’s hard to be the ignoramus. 😀
Anyways, it’s 8.30am, and I’m at the office na, woohoo! Sorry for the enthusiasm, but as you all know, it’s a major accomplishment for me to be in the office so early! I do feel though that it’s a travesty that I have to be in the office so early, argh! 😀
I know, I know everyone comes to the office early and I’m the anomaly but I’m so not used to traveling to work when it’s not even light out yet. No doubt masasanay din ako. Left the house at 7 and barely got to the office in time. I never noticed it before—probably because my trips here before didn’t require me to wake up so early!—but 7am here is still dark so it makes it doubly hard for my mind to get used to the idea that I should be on the road na.
Haven’t made friends with locals yet. It’ll take a while. Unlike Pinoys, SIngaporeans are so reticent! It’s hard to get a convo out of them if I don’t start it myself. As someone who’s not that outgoing herself, I have to channel Carrie to be able to converse with peeps, hehe!
I watched Underworld over the weekend with Karen. Ang ganda ng sinehan dito—well at least the one we went to. Underworld was cool, wasn’t it? It was better than what I expected a third installment would be. And may I just say—again!—Michael Sheen is hot! Rhona Mitra was OK—she ain’t Kate Beckinsale but she sold me on the idea of Sonja. But wasn’t the climax of their lovemaking in the ramparts of the castle a hoot? Had to laugh at Michael hanging over the edge of the walls. Other than that, the movie was very well done and in need of a part4!
OK, gotta go. More updates soon. I have to finish writing the ed’s note…
