Caught the last half-hour of Grimm, one of the slew of new American TV series that deals with fairy tales, last night. It was interesting enough that I watched it till the end. The show’s conceit revolves around the idea that creatures in fairy tales are real and living in disguise among humans and that there are individuals called Grimms who can actually see these creatures. The last surviving Grimm happens to be a police detective. It’s certainly not a new concept (Supernatural, for one, deals with otherworldly beings that live/lurk among humans) but the creators put enough new stuff in it to make me give it a try. The first episode was a spin on the Little Red Riding Hood story, with the big bad wolf as a serial killer (who’s also a werewolf, which is why he got away with his crimes for so long) abducting little girls. Creepy! Which is why I liked it, of course, haha! 😉

My name is Terrie. I write for a living and blog for pleasure. Some days, I get up in the morning and know precisely what kind of day it is. At other times, I get knocked over for a loop. People seem to like confiding in me. When I was younger, I thought I knew everything and can tell you what you need to do if you ask me. Now that I'm older, I realize I don't know anything. That's been my motivation for the blog and for writing. To figure out the unknown and unknowable.
